Philosophy:
Our design process for all design is exemplified in residential design.
The design of a home should be the result of thorough analysis of the
selected home site, the needs of the family, and the budget established
for the home. The sun, views, access, utilities, and natural conditions
of a site are critical in planning a home design. Hobbies, pets, ages,
size of, and future plans for a family are critical elements in a home
design. The family's budget is obviously important, we would never
waste the time designing something that our client can't afford to
build, or live in afterwards.
To copy a design from another family or a book of generic designs is
only appropriate if you have exactly the same site and family. Of
course, certain ideas, spatial relationships, and appearances can be
communicated by showing other homes and other designs.
